I'm a winner!

I left a comment on the pleated poppy blog and guess what? I won a $75 gift certificate to Lisa Leonard Designs! Shut up! It's true! Lisa Leonard made my family tree necklace, which I LOVE, so I was very excited. I felt like a super star when I won; first because I won and Lindsey, of the pleated poppy, mentioned MY name on HER blog (which is very popular) and second because Lisa Leonard's 'people' contacted 'my people' (me) to make arrangements for the gift certificate. Oooo la la! I just ordered, so be sure to check out my new earrings next time you see me out and about. Yippee!

Happy birthday

Matt's birthday was yesterday. 41 big ones! He and Grant weren't feeling great, but they mustered up the strength to go out to the Cheesecake Factory with the family to celebrate:-) Delicious food and two kinds of fantastic cheesecake always makes you feel better! Yum! We ended up at the Lego store where Matt bought 'himself' a train, he's been wanting one for a long time. Happy birthday Matty, we all love you, you are the best daddy and husband around! Hope you have a great 41st year.

Champs

Jack's team lost the championship game tonight and came in second place, but they are number one with us! They played fair (unlike their opponents who introduced two new rules tonight?!) and they played as a team. Way to go Rays!

Jack did great! His coach said "he is an athlete, has a good glove and fast feet, a real ball player!"

17 years

Seventeen years ago today, Matt and I were married. It was a perfect day, the start of a wonderful life together. I love this life we share, yes, even the crazy-not-so-great-days, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
My mom sent us an anniversary card and I loved the verse: May your life together bring you happiness, your love be never-ending, and your faithfulness to each other be a sweet reminder of God's faithfulness to you.
I love you, Matt. Happy Anniversary.
